A Visitor in our Yard!

We stumbled across some strange tracks in our newly seeded side yard early this morning. We noticed that our bird feeders were mangled, and a cast iron bird hangers bent at the ground. Daniel reported the damage after he was finished feeding the cats. "Wow!" I said. "Those deer must be hungry!" Not! The tracks indicated a different kind of animal.

A bear cub has been visiting us. Now we will take our feeders down until they hibernate.

Daniel~ if you get up early you might get a picture of him!...or just after dark. But watch out...where there are cubs there's usually a mama!! :o

Wow!! A bear. How exciting and scary all at the same time.

Did you all notice how messy & stinky a birding area gets in the hot summer days? I stop feeding as much in summer because of this. I don't blame you all for putting the feed away for a bit, bears or not.

Have a wonderful weekend, Stokes Family
