A Birding Station

Admittedly, we've had crummy weather around here at Langhaven. That has not stopped Daniel from enthusiastically working on our birdfeeding station.


He's been in and out of trees, arranging the feeders at a good viewing level from our window. He's experimented with different seeds and mixes, and has watched to discern which birds are groundfeeders and which like to perch.

Here, he spies a nuthatch who tries to make friends. He's come close to feeding this one from hand today!

Meanwhile, away from the rain, sleet, and snow, Bethy takes notes on a Junco!
